As a technology supplier contributing to Türkiye’s technology ecosystem for 44 years, Empa Elektronik has been awarded the R&D Center Certificate approved by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. With this significant milestone, the company has entered a new era in its research and development activities.
In addition to a broad product portfolio covering semiconductors, power electronics, electromechanical components, and other solutions, Empa Elektronik combines its expertise in edge AI, cloud-IoT, and embedded electronics with its newly established R&D Center structure. This integrated approach will continue to drive innovative solutions across a wide range of fields—from defense technologies and smart agriculture to industrial electronics and energy efficiency.
This new status provides substantial operational and financial advantages for R&D activities, enabling a stronger focus on long-term, high value-added projects. Empa Elektronik also aims to strengthen collaborations with universities, manufacturers, and strategic industries, expand its intellectual property portfolio, and attract highly qualified talent.
The share of revenue allocated to R&D is well above the average of Türkiye’s leading industrial companies. In the coming period, Empa Elektronik plans to further increase this ratio and scale up R&D investments, particularly by leveraging resources expected from its planned initial public offering (IPO).
Shaping the Future with a Next-Generation R&D Model
Within the R&D Center, dedicated teams focusing on Cloud-IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and Embedded Electronics are delivering innovative solutions across multiple industries through projects such as EmpaDigital, Tiremo, Hexasense, and Luminula.
In line with its 2030 strategic objectives, Empa Elektronik is further advancing its “Next-Generation R&D Model” and expanding activities into areas such as smart energy systems and LED lighting technologies.
With this certification, Empa Elektronik is proud to further strengthen its R&D capabilities, innovation culture, and contribution to Türkiye’s technology production capacity.
